Let LOVE Flow

On Thursday night we had a very special meeting in church.
Someone who is diagnosed with cancer came to church and wanted healing.
Four of us prepared a solemn meeting in the sanctuary and we dressed a table for communion because we could not do a thing outside the presence of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
I won't give you any name. And the above picture popped up when I opened the media library and I saw just another crucial need.
Don't ask me what is going through Missy's mind these days. It's got to be rough and tough.

We were expecting someone to come with a couple of friends or relatives, since having never been part of our church.
But at least twelve people showed up for support, from the youngest to the oldest, mostly women.

I was wondering what was going to take place.

After communion was served and the sick being anointed with oil and the reading of Psalm 103 and some others verses about healing, everyone was invited to share and they all shared about the LOVE they have for that person.

We do call upon what Jesus told us to do when He wants us to heal the sick but this requires a special anointing from Jesus and the action through the Holy Spirit who makes miracles and wonders happen. We still keep asking because the anointing comes with the increase of our faith and the compassion we have for our fallen brothers and sisters out there. Our Father in Heaven is waiting for a plea, not just a stereotyped basic request.
But there is one gift we all have after we surrender to Jesus and get saved. His LOVE abides in us and LOVE needs to flow out of us.

We want 4th street to be A Place of Healing and A People of Joy. The secret is to Let LOVE Flow in all we are and in all we do.
I was reminded this morning that Ephesians chapter 4 was written in the past tense, meaning that we have already been accepted and changed:

Eph. 4: 20-24: But you did not learn Christ in this way, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

Brothers and sisters, we'll keep praying for people, laying hands on them, and anointing them but in the end, Jesus will ask us how much we loved them and if they were worthy a glass of water or a piece of bread we were willing to bring to them.

And we'll do it even if nobody else gets ever healed again. But my whole being and my walk show me that GOD is faithful and His LOVE for me will never let me down.
I want to see miracles and wonders and I will press for it, whatever it takes.

Blessings and love to all.
